Chanel + Olsens = Perfection

Remember that Karl Lagerfeld and Ashley Olsen "fued", well thats over and done with and BOTH Olsen twins were spotted at the Chanel show this morning, looking fablous and blending in with all the french girls by refrusing to take of their sunglasses. The collection was great, young, cinched at the waist or slouched and ultra short, tons of gray and light blue and black.

All the models had dirty hair and huge glasses!

So Amy Winehouse is producing her own make-up and fashion line. Umm yeah, that was my reaction too. I love Amy but she one of those girls you love to look at but dont want to look like.

Sick Sasha

IMG (the company that manages Sasha's career) has issued a statement reguarding Sasha's health. They said that Sasha was not well and could barely hold herseld up during Fashion Week, she only walked in one show-Anna Sui.

I fet bad for her until she was spotted out and about at an exhibition of her drawings and Jeremy Scotts party at Mansion. The Cobrasnake managed to snap a picture of her (top right). Shes "sick" just like Lindsay Lohans trips to the hospital are do to "exhaustion".

OH NO!

Well i'm sure we all remember robberies of Alexander McQueen and Marc Jacobs back i December. Well, on a similar note:

Vogue Uk reported up-and-coming designer James Long showed a well-reveived line for Topman's MAN runway, only to have the entire collection STOLEN from his studio hours later!

According to police reports the only thing stolen were clothes, with the exception of a few accessories. Everything else in the studio, laptops and all remained in their normal place.

hmm wonder if its the same group of looters?

A Nightmare...Otherwise Known as Packing

Friday morning i'll be taking the train to DC to visit one of my best, best, best friends Anna. Now this means packing, and i fucking hate packing. i always think of every possiable scenario causing me to pack every article of clothing, shoes, and even different color eyeliners! This is a serious problem considering the following:
1. i'll have to carry my bags on the train
2. i intend to go shopping
3. not to mention i'll be bringing clothes to exchange for store credit and this awesome consignment shop (more on that later)
4. i've never met her parents and i dont want them to think, i think, that i'll be staying there for the next 3 months.

Since im a pro at the art of procrastination, i figure i should start thinking about what to pack now. maybe that might lessen my chances of shoving everything in sight into a suitcase last minute.

Project Runway

I used to LOVE Project Ruway, now it PISSES me off...

1. The last, what, 4-5 episodes have been so fucking weird, and not even remotely relevant. I mean come on who cares if they can design an outfit for female wrestlers

2. I'm pissed that Sweet P is in fashion week

3. I'm more pissed that I knew she was in fashion week, WHY DO WE ALREADY KNOW WHO SHOWS?

4. Ricky worked for Oscar de la Renta and still seemed to be bottom 2 every week

5. When Sweet Pea said, "My mind doesn't naturally go to the avant garde," I said "No, your mind naturally goes towards UGLY"

Following up the previous post, another look straight from the runways and one that I also intend to (or as a matter of fact already have) embraced. Most of the more demure lables such as Marchesa and Temperley, which are usally more feminine have gone totally badass!

Chris Benz

Chris Benz fall 2008 collection was inspired by one of my favorite looks, ""a funny old woman pulling wrinkled clothes from 50 years ago out of a suitcase". Channeling your inner old woman/man and making it fashion foward. It's time to go shopping in our grandparents closets!

Y-3

The runway was lined with floor-to-ceiling thin bricks of ice, which dripped down and made for a wet catwalk. If anyone was cold, the PR team was kind enough to hand out hand-warmers and Y-3 blankets.

Bubbles are SO unattractive...

Just Doing Me: Really? whats so bad about being different, personally i have no desire to dress like the other girls at school, which is besides the point. And one way I like to express myself is through clothes, and fankly weather you like them or not, I couldnt really give a shit.

Bubble Boy: I mean...um...

Just Doing Me: So next time you have a rude or cynical comment about my clothes keep it to yourself because there is no use in voiceing your opinions to someone who wont even take them into consideration.

Bubble Boy: Whats cynical mean?.....

(ps the word "style" at my school is not considered a good thing, it is a term used to refer to someones (and by someone its more then likely me) clothing as "different" or "weird" but are socially allowed to say it to someones face)

Sass & Bide

The Sass & Bide show opened with a vintage record. The collection included sequins, top hats, leathery leggings worn as pants, capes flowing down the runway and a bright plaid jacket. Sass & Bide layered theirs thigh-highs (which I totally need more of) over wide-knit fishnets for an even more rock n' roll look that balanced out the girly dresses with ruffled sleeves.

Alexander Wang

I love Alexander Wang, his collection this season is all about the baggy trousers, little tops, clutches…and translating that into evening wear. Overall, the models ended up looking very cool grungy and still very fashion forward. PLEASE NOTE: these pictures are the looks that I like the most; this is NOT the whole collection.

Shoes I'm Craving!!

First Look: Catherine Holstein

As far as Catherine Holstein is concerned, it's all about slouchy cool made up with structured bottoms and loose tops. I just love her clothes they remind me of that retro to cool to be a school girl look, and still extremely chic.
