After the successful launch of the Grit Magazine, they now have an exclusive blog, which will be updated twice a week, every Tuesday and Friday. For the launch they interviewed the fantastic photography duo Reed+Rader from Brooklyn, who've already been featured in several blogs and websites for their ground breaking Gif animated fashion stories. For the Grit's Acid Rain issue they shot with the one and only Max Rogers (Italian Vogue cover and D&G campaign boy). Visit their blog now and learn more about their exciting features.

Ellen Himic is definitely a fresh face in the industry, just launching her second season, she has already begun to develop an aesthetic that is completely unique and clearly associated with her personal style as both a designer and a brand. Heavily influenced by historic architecture, antique sculpture and symbolic objects, Himic's collection is incredibly detailed in a way that you don't normally see with today's jewelry. She is definitely bridging the gap between contemporary and fine jewelry, using a select mix of semi-precious and precious stones set in a variety of metals to complete her handcrafted works of art.

Colenimo

Colenimo designer, Aya Nakagawa, doesn't just create a beautiful collection after a beautiful collection. Each of her lines tend to epitomize the aesthetic I aim for each season. Inspired by the 1930's actress, singer, and dancer, most recognized for her role in the musical 42nd street, Ruby Keeler, Aya Nakagawa undoubtedly produced a breath taking Autumn/Winter collection called "A Quarter to Nine". The meticulously constructed garments, which include tailored overcoats, cardigans, knitted leggings and caped dresses, incorporate traditional luxurious materials including vintage Italian suiting fabric, Shetland wool, cashmere angora and hand crocheting. There is a vintage and elegant feel to this collection and lets be honest, class never goes out of style.

Back!

Wow, did I miss this. As the aforementioned post stated, i've been away at camp for the past eight weeks, and boy does it feel good to be writing on my blog again. Most people at camp talk about how much they miss the comfort of their own home I, however, was iching to get my blog up and rolling again. As it turns out, there was less time than I initially anticipated to post while I was away. That being said, I do have a lot of new ideas and projects that I can't wait to get started on! Before that can happen, I want to apologize for my delayed response to all of the emails I received within these past 2 months. I am making my way through my inbox, and promise to get back to all of you as soon as I can. Well, in any event, it's going to be a good year with tons of exciting things to look forward to; I can't wait to share them all with you! And don't forget, just like Audrey Hepburn said, "Nothing is impossible. The word itself says I'M POSSIBLE."
