Crimped...

In 5th grade I would crimp my hair with my $20 crimping iron, miss the whole back of my head and be head to toe in Limted Too clothes. I am so glad those days are over (or so I thought) but the same can't be said for Luella and Julien Macdonald. For both designers crimped hair was their style of choice. Now dont get my wrong I'm all for this look on the runways and photoshoots-but this is deffinately one look I will not be sporting come fall. photo cred: style.com

No More Jeans

My dear fashion blogging friend Renée Sturme (FashionFillers-check out her link on the right she has a great blog!) did a post a while ago stating how she would no longer wear jeans. At first I thought that was kinda silly but now I couldnt agree more. As I was folding jean after jean at forever21 yesterday I not only realized that I havent worn them in about 2-2 and 1/2 months but I no longer wanted to wear them unless they were unique. I hate being the same as everyone else and I think jeans are to generic unless there is something special about them. So good-bye for now blue denim pants-maybe if your unique enough I might wear you.

English Hallway? More Like Catwalk...

Yes, this is going to be another school related post and for those as unlucky as I am by that I mean starting school in September I'll keep this one short and to the point. Anyway I was sitting outside reading my book today and for some strange reason this thought popped into my mind..."Why doesn't anyone wear heels to school". Now don't get me wrong I do understand that it would be moderately painful given the fact that you are lugging around books and binders and such from class to class. But still I would love to wear heels to school-believe when I say easier said then done. I already "over-dress" for school as one of my classmates so kindly pointed out, so adding heels to the equation probably would add to that factor. Not that I mind being different from everyone else at school (if you've read my previous posts you'll know that I actually completely embrace it). Back to the main question here...I'm curious do any of you lovely fashionistas wear high heel shoes to school?

Camera Advice

I am going to get a digital SLR camera, but the only problem is I can not decide between and canon or a Nikon. I personally love canon cameras but have never had a Nikon before so I'm kind of objective. Both people who have Nikon's and Canon's say that their camera is superior. I'm so indecisive i need your help!! which brand/edition to you recommend?

School Bag

As much as I hate to start thinking about going back to school, and coming back to reality from my summer bliss. I have to start getting back to the school mindset, and in doing so I realized that I really want a new school bag. Now I'm not talking about your typical North Face backpack though. So heres where I'm running into a few problems-I can't see to find the bag I'm picturing in my head. I wish this Urbanoufitters bag was a bit bigger. Basically if any of you fabulous readers have any ideas of where I can get a bag similar to this one above (preferably not too expensive) please, please, let me know! kisses

Dasha Zhukova and Christina Tang designers of Kova & T the girls usally refered to as the latex-leggings girls. Tired of their leggings the two designers have turned there attention to making the perfect t-shirt. "Dasha and I are always trying to figure out what we want to wear that we can't find," says Tang, "and lately, we really want to wear T-shirts—they work with everything. Shorts, jeans, a cute little miniskirt…"

Who Can Change Your Style?

In the September issue of Glamour mag, there is an up-coming issue entitled "Seven People Who Could Change Your Style." Agyness Deyn, whose look is often considered very punky, very young, is one among the seven. I'm glad to hear that Glamour feels that there readers are changing and have a younger fresher take on fashion.
