The Run Down

“Pulp was created to allow this play ground of artistic exploration to exist not just for me, but for others who have something inside they want to delve into. No limitations or rules, just pure creative abandon –the best kind of art in my opinion." - Pulp Magazine's 1st issue Letter from the Editor excerpt.

Dalla Nonna or "from the grandmother" in Italian is a jewelry line designed by Rebecca Richards and Jessica Bohrer. Inspired by vintage pieces, Becca and Jess fell in love with the idea of taking something old and making it new again. Dalla Nonna jewelry recently launched the little letter bracelets. Each letter is executed in 14k rose or yellow gold or sterling silver. Whether you want to wear your initials, your beau’s initials or mix it up with words/phrases, the little letters provide a unique way to wear a meaningful piece of jewelry. In support of breast cancer awareness, Dalla Nonna will donate 10% of proceeds on sales of the pink letter bracelet to Susan G. Komen. Prices start at $98.

Dear Creatures

Dear Creatures' has a distinctive élan for consistently creating collections with flawlessly executed narratives, and a certain sense of nostalgia. Their Fall 2010 collection was “inspired by Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys”. Therefore, the collection depicts youthful curiosity, and the instinctive nature to solve crimes, by inevitably discovering timeless fashion. Dear Creatures’ Fall 2010 line features, A-line silhouettes, hints of plaid, clean tailoring, while still remaining true to their ethereal and dream like signature aesthetic.
In addition to their Fall 2010 collection Dear Creatures exclusively launched, "EVERYTHING IN PLACE", a cape made especially for www.Anthropologie.com. This super stylish Olive Tweed cape is perfect for that fall breeze and those cool nights. Plus, it even has a removable hood, because… well a girl needs options! ☺

Outfit Shot

Photo taken by Carlos R. Hernandez

I am officially living in the City of Brotherly Love, Philadelphia! College started about a week ago, and I finally figured out how to connect to the internet. Expect quite a few posts this week to make up for lost time. I have met so many amazing people here at Drexel! I am really looking forward to having them collaborate with me, not only on my blog, but my Zine as well. This picture for example was taken by a lovely friend of mine, Carlos R. Hernandez. The next few outfit shots will most likely be the last opportunities I have to wear my summer frock-like dresses, however, I can't say that upset about that. HELLO FALL! I can see you down the block and around the corner.
